Top Black Friday and Cyber Monday Robot Vacuum Deals
If you've always wanted to get a robot vacuum, now's your chance. CNET's best-rated models will be available for Black Friday and Cyber Monday, with discounts up to 57%.
The Roborock Q7 Max is a powerful robot that has smart mapping and app-based no go zones. Its 180-minute running time is impressive. It also automatically refills and self-empties its water tank.
- Roomba j7+ iRobot from iRobot.
The Roomba j7+ is iRobot's most advanced robot vacuum to date. The most significant innovation is its camera-based obstacle-detection technology. This uses AI to detect objects such as charging cables and shoes. It's the first robot to provide you with pictures of the objects that it encounters, so you can instruct that it is safe to avoid it.
The Combo J7+ is the most efficient robot mop that we have ever tested. It removes dirt and spills quickly, leaving no trace that it was there. The iRobot application makes it simple to control. It can schedule cleanings and even create Keep Out Zones so that it doesn't vacuum in areas that you don't wish to. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start it and stop it with a voice.
Its design is a step above the competition with a sleek top piece that looks more like a toy robotic rather than a loud, loud one. Clean Base Automatic Dirt disposal System also self-empties, which will cut down your cleaning time.
In our tests, we observed that the j7+ was quick to removed dust, dirt, and pet hair. The rubber brushes that counter-rotate kept the debris in place instead of scattering it across the floor. It was able to collect sand, small gravel and even a little grit. Most robots can't do this. It did all this without getting caught in our pet's hair.
The j7+, while not as sophisticated as the $1,217 Roomba S9+ Self-Emptying Vacuum from iRobot and isn't able to clean the stairs, is an option for those who require both mopping and a vacuum. It's not costly and the iRobot App makes it easy to use.
The iRobot Home App is easy to use but we found it less reliable than other robotic cleaner apps. It can take a long time to download updates, and at times it's difficult to tell whether the update is functioning until you've seen it in the action.
- Roborock Q5+
When you're looking for a robot vacuum that does more than simply clean floors, the best option is probably a hybrid. These bots are equipped with a water tank, so they can vacuum and mop at the same time. These bots also have many additional features like smart mapping and small object avoidance and the ability to wash and re-dry mopping pads. The downside is that they can be expensive at retail, but during Black Friday and Cyber Monday they usually drop in price.
Roborock makes some of our top robot vacuums, and the Q5+ is no exception. It's their most affordable auto-empty model, and while it lacks some of the features found on higher-end models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's still a great choice if you're willing to sacrifice a bit to save hundreds of dollars.
The Q5+ is exceptionally gentle when it comes down to obstacles like tables and walls. This makes it an excellent option for homes with a lot of furniture. It's also extremely thorough in cleaning up dust bunnies. This is a place where many robot vacuums that are less expensive do not excel in. The Q5+'s navigation system is top-quality, with a few misses along walls or in corners.
Like other Roborock devices like the Q5+, the Q5+ can be controlled with a handful of buttons on the device or through the Roborock app. The app lets you start and stop cleaning. You can also set schedules, design virtual barrier and no-go areas and adjust your home map, or re-label the rooms.
If you opt for the Q5+ model, it comes with a brand new auto-empty dock that's designed specifically to make this robot easy to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver, however, once it's in place emptying the bin can be accomplished with relative ease. It comes with a huge LCD screen which is helpful for setting up schedules or adjusting settings. This isn't a necessary feature for everyone, but it's one that will aid in keeping track of the intervals between maintenance for your robot with ease.
- Narwal Freo X Ultra
The Freo X Ultra is a well-rounded robot vacuum and mop that's impressively clever in its vacuuming and mopping capabilities. Its design is among the most innovative in the market however it's quite expensive.
It is a relatively small base station that looks great and is easily hidden when not in use. But the station's biggest selling feature is the way it automatizes many tasks and functions that other robots leave to you. It can store clean and dirty water and also electrolyze and warm the water. Many other robots require you to do this.
Its vacuuming capabilities are also impressive. It's one of the few robovacs I've tried that does very well at picking up debris on unfinished floors, and it's not nearly as loud as the more expensive Roomba 980 or iRobot 900 series.
However, the Freo X Ultra has its shortcomings, particularly when it comes to navigation. Its LiDAR sensors and laser sensors aren't as reliable as other robot vacuums. This means it could get stuck or get confused in certain corners or rooms in the home. It's also not able to climb stairs like other models and doesn't come with a dock to create a clean zone for carpets that are soft.
While it doesn't offer the same amount of cleaning configuration options in its app, or as many shortcuts within the app as other robovacs, the Freo X Ultra is still an excellent choice for anyone looking for an all-around great robot vacuum and mop that's worth the premium price tag.
If you're looking for a way to save money or don't mind the limitations of the robot, there are plenty of alternatives available. A lot of eufy models are significantly less. The eufy Qrevo curv, for example, is cheaper however it comes with many more features, like the ability to climb stairs and a full-function Dock, with the ability to provide a more thorough vacuuming experience on bare floors carpets with low pile and even high-pile carpets.
- eufy RoboVac g30
eufy is an Anker company with a history of producing robot vacuums with the right combination of features, performance and price. The G30 Hybrid offers a powerful cleaning on hard and carpet flooring, and mopping functions at an affordable price. It's simple to set up simply by snapping one of the side brushes on, switch it on, and plug it into the charging dock. The app will guide you through the steps required to connect your G30 to your Wi-Fi. The dock should be located near an outlet and have plenty of room to move.
The G30 is a small device that measures 2.85 inches in height, meaning it will fit under most couches and low-clearance pieces furniture. Its design is less flashy than some of the rival models, with sleek black finishes and three physical buttons such as Auto Cleaning start/pause, Recharge and Spot Cleaning (which cleans the area in a spiral pattern for two minutes). You can also link the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to do unscheduled cleaning with voice commands.
The most important aspect that distinguishes the G30 apart from its competitors is the way it cleans. It uses an integrated map to draw an image of the unmovable items that are in its path. It remembers the things it has cleaned and the areas it was unable to access. It will return to the base to recharge, and then begins cleaning where it left off.
The eufy G30 has a few issues. The iRobot Roomba 675 is more built, incurs lower recurring costs, is charged more quickly and has the same battery life while offering better performance on floors with no carpet and carpets with low pile. It also has a larger dust bin that doesn't require to be empty as often and comes with an array of boundary strips to restrict it from certain areas. The G30 is less expensive and easier to maintain. Its smaller container means it doesn't need to be emptied as often, and it has less difficulty with bulky items such as cereal.
